Handmade Quilts
Sizes of quilts to send: children and youth sizes. We welcome regular quilts as well as summer quilts (quilts without the batting). Our current projects may indicate what quilt sizes we’re in need of, but all sizes are always welcomed.
Please Do:
- Do send us unused finished quilts that you made, or made by someone you know.
Please Don’t:
- Don’t send us used items.
- Don’t send us store purchased quilts.
- Don’t send us unfinished quilt tops.
(Why we don’t accept store purchased quilts: Some quilts sold in stores are made in child sweatshops. We want to avoid exploiting one group of children while helping another.)
Knitted and Crocheted Items
Knitted or crocheted items we are requesting include:
- hats
- mittens
- scarves
- blankets
What to Include
- Your name
- Telephone number or email address (whichever you prefer)
- Mailing address
- Name(s) of the person who made the items
